Séance or the art of communicating with spiritsCommunicating with spirits is banned in many religions. Jewish religion strictly prohibits séance and Bible specifically forbids contact with spirits: Leviticus 19:31 says: Do not turn to mediums or seek out spirits, for you will be defiled by them. I am the LORD your God. It can be done in different ways, through a talking board or through a medium that channels the spirit, although it is believed since it exhibits itself in the form of the medium being possessed by the spirit, it can be faked easily. But is it really real? This question has haunted many people during most of their adult life. Is there really any Spirit in a different dimension that can only be accessed through some mind channels? Is there such a thing as a channel? I too asked these questions many times myself and so decided to do an experiment of my own. This happened when my cousin one day mentioned that he had done séance with his friends. The ExperimentI decided to arrange our experiment with him and my sisters. One night me and my sisters and two of my cousins gathered in our house, sat down on the floor because I wanted to make sure there is nothing going on under any table. We did not buy a board, instead I wrote the alphabets on a piece of paper with numbers and months and some simple words such as Yes and No.Then we sat around the board on the floor and used a saucer, I specifically picked up a heavy china saucer so no one finger can control it and painted arrow on it which would point to letters and numbers if moved. We all put our index finger on the saucer touching it. It was impossible for anyone person to control the movement of the saucer. One person may be able to move it up but there is no way that anyone could move it to other directions since it was a heavy saucer and only one finger was touching the edge of the saucer. My cousin started by asking if any spirit was there and if they could talk to us, I will skip the jokes we made initially making fun of my cousin. Then suddenly the saucer moved and went to the word Yes. That was when we all shut up and realized that something was happening. We reluctantly asked questions and received meaningful answers. I constantly asked everyone to remove their fingers so I would make sure that nobody is trying to control the saucer in any way, but it still moved and formed meaningful responses. That was the first time that I truly believed there was something there that was communicating with us. I don't know what it was but I know that it was beyond the physical world we know of. For me it was clear that what was happening was real an we were somehow able to talk to a presence that seemed to be of a spirit through movement of a saucer. Although I must stress that we did not see any spirit in white clouds. Even when I asked one spirit to do something physical like turning the light on and off to prove his presence, nothing happened. As for me I was in a shocked state for about a month after this experience as I was not sure what to think of what I had seen and experienced. There are different explanations given to this phenomenon, one is that this is the result of a group mindset that somehow controls the movements through the mind of all people present. However this is just a theory that is given to justify without any proof of any kind. Like most other theories, regarding extraordinary phenomenon, there is no explanation or proof. you will have to choose for yourself to believe or not. There is no physical theory to explain what happens in a genuine séance session or at least not yet. |
